Dr. Michael Büeler holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich. They have experience in optical methods for early cancer detection from their time at the University of Texas at Austin and have developed medical and opto-electronic products in various industry roles. Since joining Optotune in 2009, Dr. Büeler has served as the Head of Optics Engineering and Quality Manager at the newly established subsidiary, OCS. Their past positions include project management roles at IROC AG and Sulzer Hydro AG.
