Alex Balmes

Alex Balmes began their actuarial career in 1999 as an Executive Administrative Assistant at CPECK Company, where they gained insight into the insurance industry. In 2003, they transitioned to a traditional actuarial role at Reden & Anders, Ltd., which later became Ingenix and then Optum. Currently, as the Vice President of Actuarial Consulting at Optum Advisory Services, Alex specializes in Medicare product consulting, risk adjustment analytics, and business development. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Actuarial Science from Georgia State University.
