Ami Buikema is currently the Vice President of Research Consulting & Client Engagement at Optum, where they have worked since 2019. Previously, they held roles at various organizations, including as an Epidemiologist for the Metro Health Department of Nashville and Davidson County and as a Fellow in the National Immunization Program at the Centers for Disease Control. With a strong foundation in public health, Ami earned a Bachelor of Science from St. Lawrence University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota. Currently, they are pursuing a PhD at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
