Amy Mullins

Amy Mullins, MD, CPE, FAAFP, is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as the Senior Medical Director of Risk and Clinical Education and National Medical Director of Education Solutions at Optum since March 2022. Previously, Dr. Mullins held the position of Medical Director of Quality and Science at the American Academy of Family Physicians from July 2013 to March 2022, where administrative expertise focused on practice transformation to the patient-centered medical home model was demonstrated. Dr. Mullins also served as PCMH Champion at Trinity Mother Frances Health System and as a physician at Trinity Clinic Whitehouse. The educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch and residency training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Abilene Christian University.
