Benson Chan

Benson Chan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product experience and design, currently serving as VP of Product Experience & Design at Optum since June 2025. Prior to this role, Benson held multiple leadership positions at Amazon from August 2022 to July 2025, overseeing UX Design & Research for various Alexa domains including Entertainment and Personalization. Additionally, Benson contributed as an Advisory Board member for the Design Thinking Program at Tombolo Institute at Bellevue College from August 2020 to July 2025. Prior experience includes significant roles at Microsoft from January 2011 to February 2021, where responsibilities ranged from leading the UX and Creative Studio for Microsoft Store to directing User Experience & Experimentation and managing product strategies on Microsoft.com. Earlier in the career, Benson served as a Senior Product Manager at Myspace, focusing on social gaming platform management. Educational background includes a B.A.Sc. in Software Engineering from the University of Ottawa, earned between January 1998 and January 2003.
