Brian Carter

Brian Carter is the Director of Machine Learning at Optum, where they utilize their strategic thinking and strong communication skills to enhance decision-making processes through analytics. With a history of influence in both the private and public sectors, Brian has extensive experience in extracting value from data assets. Previously, they served as a Lead Data Scientist at Optum and as a Data Scientist at IBM in Ireland. Brian began their career as a Policing Analyst for An Garda Síochána, applying data mining techniques to inform policing strategies. They hold multiple degrees, including an M.Sc. in Data Mining and Business Intelligence from the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown.
