Brian Troen

Brian Troen is an experienced IT security and risk governance leader with a robust background in managing large teams and overseeing complex security frameworks. Currently serving as Vice President of IT Security - Information Risk Governance at Optum since May 2020, Brian leads a global team of over 175 individuals focused on Internal and Supplier Security Risk, Risk Services, and Regulatory Management. Prior to this role, Brian held the position of Senior Director of IT Security at Optum, as well as a Director role at Alere Wellbeing. Brian's earlier experience includes senior management positions at UnitedHealth Group, where responsibilities encompassed IT audits and compliance consulting. An MBA holder in Healthcare from the University of St. Thomas and a degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of North Dakota, Brian Troen combines technical expertise with strategic leadership in the field of IT security and risk management.
