Cara Samokar

Cara Samokar currently serves as Vice President and Enterprise Client Executive at Optum, having started in January 2023. Prior to this role, Cara was Vice President of Payer Solutions - Advisory Services at Optum from January 2011 to January 2020, and also held the position of Payer Strategy for Strategic Accounts at Microsoft from January 2020 to January 2022. Cara began her career as Account Executive for National Accounts at Silverlink Communications from January 2008 to January 2011. Throughout the career, consultation with Health Plan Executives of Managed Care Organizations and Pharmacy Benefit Managers has focused on developing customized communication solutions for effective member engagement. Cara Samokar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from the University of Connecticut, obtained in May 2003.
