Conor Waldron

Conor Waldron is a highly skilled professional with significant experience in data science and engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Optum since January 2021, Conor previously held the position of Senior Manager of Data Science, leading a team focused on applying machine learning models in the healthcare sector. Conor has also contributed as a Senior Data Scientist in the Care Innovation Lab at United Health Group R&D, developing machine learning models and processing large healthcare datasets. Prior to Optum, Conor's experience includes roles as a Process Development Engineer at APC Ltd, where diverse projects in the pharmaceutical industry were undertaken, and internships at Wanhua Chemical Group and Eli Lilly and Company. Conor holds a PhD in Microreactors - Chemical Engineering from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from University College Dublin, complemented by a year studying Chemical Engineering at University of California, Santa Barbara.
