John Volz

John Volz, PMP, ITIL MP, CSM, serves as the Program Director in the Cloud Business Office at Optum since April 2023, overseeing key initiatives such as post-disaster recovery, cloud migration to Azure, AWS, and GCP, and application disaster recovery implementations. Prior to this role, John was the Director of Product and Application Operations at Optum, leading a team that translated business strategies into technology solutions and enhanced operational performance. With extensive experience from Change Healthcare and McKesson, where John held director roles focusing on technology service management and infrastructure operations respectively, expertise also encompasses IT consultation and infrastructure architecture across various organizations. Academic qualifications include a Master of Professional Studies in Homeland Security with a concentration in Information Security from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Eastern University.
