Karla Cherry Starks is an experienced IT program, project, and Agile professional currently serving as a Senior Manager for IT Projects and Programs at Optum since 2006. With expertise in Agile methodologies and a proven record of leading large teams and managing budgets, Karla has effectively utilized project management tools throughout multiple project lifecycles. Prior to this role, Karla held positions including Vice President of Membership, Marketing & Communications at the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Business Analyst at Liberty Life Insurance. Currently, Karla is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a dual major in Management Information Systems and Marketing from Bowling Green State University, along with an MBA from Gardner-Webb University.
