Kenya Rivas

Kenya Rivas is a Regional Medical Director for National Post Acute Care Management at Optum and serves as a Culture Ambassador for UnitedHealth Group. With a robust background in geriatrics, Kenya held the position of Assistant Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Geriatrics at Nova Southeastern University from 2009 to 2023. In 2005, they contributed to the immediate care of the first pediatric liver transplant patient at Metropolitan Clinic in Caracas, Venezuela, and have participated in humanitarian missions in Mexico and Peru. Kenya completed a geriatric fellowship at Florida Hospital Family Medicine Residency from 2005 to 2009 and continues to pursue their Doctor of Medicine degree at Universidad de los Andes.
