Mike Dempsey

Mike Dempsey is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. At Optum, from September 2021 to January 2025, Mike served as CFO for Home & Community Care Solutions and held leadership roles including CFO for Optum Health East and CFO for Optum Care Midwest/Northeast. Prior to this, Mike was with UnitedHealth Group from September 2015 to November 2021, where positions included Senior Vice President and Vice President of Corporate Development. Mike's career began in investment banking at Piper Jaffray, where Mike advanced from Associate to Principal in Health Care Investment Banking over nine years. Earlier, Mike worked as a Project Manager at Alliant Techsystems. Academically, Mike holds an MBA from the UMN Carlson School of Management and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
