Neil Braunstein

Neil Braunstein, MD CPE FACR currently serves as the National Senior Medical Director at Optum, a position held since 2018. Previously, Neil held roles including Senior Medical Director for Specialty and Pharmacy and Medical Director for Internal Specialty at OptumCare Nevada. Prior to Optum, Neil worked as the Medical Director of Southwest Medical Pharmacy and as Associate Medical Director for Specialty at Southwest Medical Associates. Neil completed a fellowship in Rheumatology and a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where a Doctor of Medicine degree was also earned. An undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Biology was obtained from the University of Pennsylvania.
