Philip Lyons

Philip Lyons has extensive experience in data science, currently serving as a Principal Data Scientist at Optum since September 2021, after progressing from the role of Senior Data Scientist. Prior experience includes a tenure at Core from May 2016 to September 2021, where Philip contributed to various sectors including banking and retail. At Medtronic Vascular, Philip was an Industry Research Fellow focused on product development. Additional roles include Research Fellow at the Advanced Materials and BioEngineering Research Centre, Post Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices, and academic research during postgraduate studies at Trinity College Dublin, where Philip earned a PhD in Nanoscience. Educational background features a BA in Chemistry and Physics of Advanced Materials from Trinity College Dublin. Philip's skill set is complemented by training in project management and communication.
