Sam Valind

Sam Valind, MBA, is an experienced data and digital analytics professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Digital Analytics at Optum since August 2025. Previously, Sam worked at Room & Board as a Senior Data Architect and Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist from May 2021 to April 2025. Sam has an extensive background at Optum, where roles included Data Engineering Intern Manager, System Analyst, System Administrator, Analytics Intern Manager, Analytics Manager, and Marketing Analyst from May 2017 to May 2021. Early career experiences include positions as Social Media and Community Manager at The Bucket and Analytics Intern at Optum, along with a role as Financial Operations Coordinator at Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Sam holds an MBA obtained from the University of South Dakota in December 2023 and a Bachelor’s Degree from the same institution, completed in May 2017.
