Sammy Gershon

Sammy Gershon possesses extensive experience in healthcare network development and management, having held leadership roles at Optum from June 2022 to July 2023, including President of the Optum Health Network for the Mid-Atlantic Region and Vice President for both Mid-Atlantic and Tri-State regions. Prior to Optum, Sammy was a Manager of Network Development at Clover Health, focusing on Medicare Advantage contract negotiations and strategic growth. Experience as a Senior Analyst at Remedy Partners involved developing value-based healthcare strategies, while the role of Associate Consultant at Pershing Yoakley & Associates centered on fair market value compensation for physicians. Earlier, Sammy served as Director of Operations at Seven Square Medical Center, where significant improvements in revenue cycle management were achieved. Sammy holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Biology, both from Emory University.
