Stefan Moosbrugger has been working in the software engineering field since 2012. In 2012, they were a Project Research Assistant at the Universität Innsbruck, where they developed a high-performance C++ application that calculated the inverse kinematics of a robot using the KineControl inverse kinematics algorithm. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Computer Science Researcher at the same university, where they worked on the Insieme (C/C++) source-to-source compiler project. Stefan'smain responsibilities included developing and extending compiler features, designing and implementing a modern frontend plugin system, and providing an interface for compiler developers to modify the standard workflow of the Insieme compiler. In 2016, they joined ETH Zurich as a Scientific Software Developer, where they were a member of the GridTools library core developer team. Stefan'smain focus was on implementation of core features, optimization, software architecture, and design using agile methodologies such as TDD, scrum, and CI. In 2018, they joined OptumSoft as a C++ Software Engineer, where they design, develops, and tests software products that make the development of software for distributed system applications more efficient.
Stefan Moosbrugger has a long educational history. Stefan began their studies in 2003, when they earned their Matura in Engineering Economics from HTL Innsbruck, Anichstraße. Stefan then attended Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2012, followed by their Master of Science in Computer Science in 2014, and finally their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science in 2016.
