Ramin Niroumand is an experienced researcher in transportation systems, holding a PhD from North Carolina State University. Ramin began a career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Washington State University in 2018, continuing in a similar role at North Carolina State University from 2020 to 2023, during which time Ramin also served as a Visiting Scholar and Postdoctoral Researcher. Currently, Ramin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University and has taken on the role of Senior Operations Research Scientist at Optym since February 2025. Ramin completed a Master's degree in transportation at Sharif University of Technology and holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tabriz.
