Yi Lu

Yi Lu is a Machine Learning Engineer and Research Intern with experience in developing state-of-the-art models and implementing advanced machine learning techniques. At OpusClip, Yi Lu proposed a novel training-free reasoning segmentation model, leading projects and authoring research accepted to ACL 2025. Previous roles include teaching Python programming and object-oriented concepts at the University of Toronto and developing an automated dialogue system for a stealth startup. As a Data Scientist at ByteDance, Yi Lu enhanced visual language models for commercial intent understanding. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Toronto, following studies in Advanced Computer Science at Imperial College London.
