Residency Program Director at OpusVi

Dawna Cato, PhD, RN, NPD-BC, currently serves as the Residency Program Director at OpusVi, overseeing the growth of Residency Programs since May 2023. Concurrently, Dawna is a Visiting Professor at Chamberlain University for the Master's in Nursing Executive Leadership Track. Prior leadership roles include President/CEO of Transition to Professional Practice Nurse Consulting, LLC, and CEO of both the Arizona Nurses Association and the Arizona Foundation for the Future of Nursing from October 2020 to December 2022. Additional experience includes serving as a Commissioner at the American Nurses Credentialing Center and in various academic capacities, including Adjunct Professor at Aspen University and Adjunct Faculty at Arizona State University. Dawna's educational background includes a PhD in Nursing Education from Capella University, along with a Master’s degree and Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, an Associate Degree in Nursing from Glendale Community College, and an LPN credential from MiraCosta College.
