Day in and day out, Mike is guided by a single mantra – “It’s all about the relationships.” As Vice President of OraNet, Ora’s strategic ophthalmic site network and patient solutions department, Mike challenges his team to listen to the pain points of clinical sites and get creative to help solve them. As a result, OraNet is uniquely positioned to help new, high-potential research sites clear the barriers to entry, while also maximizing the performance of sites that are already highly experienced. Since joining OraNet, Mike has helped double the size of the strategic Retina Site Network.
Prior to leading OraNet, Mike held the position of Senior Director, Clinical Operations for Ora’s Anterior Segment Division. In this role, Mike helped develop strategic relationships with over 40 ophthalmic practices for Ora’s site network, which later outperformed standard sites by up to 300%. Mike also led trial strategy for the department, and oversaw execution of over 80 Phase 1-4 clinical trials.
Building on the work he started with Ora in 2009, Mike has three goals for OraNet that guide him and his team through all that they do: to help all therapeutic areas deliver for sponsors, to make research easier for sites, and to increase clinical trial awareness for patients.
