Cynthia Hammonds is an accomplished leader in optical engineering and network operations, currently serving as Head of Optical Engineering at Oracle since April 2022, following a notable tenure at Verizon where roles included Distinguished Engineer and Senior Manager in Network Systems Planning. With extensive experience across various telecommunications organizations, including AQSACOM, US Cellular, and NetAmerica Alliance, Cynthia has a proven track record in driving strategic initiatives, quality assurance, and program management for large-scale network migrations and engineering projects. Educational foundations include a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology from Texas A&M University, alongside two Master's degrees in Education Administration and Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. Cynthia also has a background in national security as a former Counterintelligence Agent in the US Army.
