David Sakata

David Sakata is an experienced legal professional specializing in intellectual property and technology law. With a career spanning over a decade, David served as a Patent Attorney at Garrison and Associates and Lee & Hayes PLLC, where successful prosecution of U.S. patents was achieved. Since 2011, David has held various positions at Rally AG, LLC, where responsibilities included serving as General Counsel, Chief IP Counsel, and Privacy Officer, while establishing legal procedures in technology transactions and privacy law. Currently, David is a Senior Attorney at Oracle, advising on artificial intelligence legal issues, including data governance and regulatory compliance. David holds an LLM in Intellectual Property and Policy from the University of Washington and a Juris Doctor from Willamette University, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Washington.
