Fernando Simon

Fernando Simon is a Consulting Member of Technical Staff on the MAA Development Team at Oracle, with a deep passion for Oracle technologies and over two decades of experience in database administration. They began their career as a Database Administrator at Universidade do Vale do Itajaí and progressed to serve as a Senior Database Architect for notable organizations such as eProseed and the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg. Fernando has a strong background in high-availability systems, including Oracle Exadata and Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance, and has contributed to various impactful projects, including the implementation of Brazil's first ZDLRA. They are also a recognized speaker at Oracle conferences and have authored a blog since 2010, sharing insights and knowledge in the industry. Fernando holds a Master's degree in Database from Universidade Federal do Paraná.
