Georgios Mappouras

Georgios Mappouras is currently a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, focusing on MySQL HeatWave, where they design and develop key features for enhanced query execution and cluster management. Previously, they worked as a co-op research engineer at AMD, investigating Heterogeneous Memory architectures for GPUs. Georgios completed a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University, where they also served as a research and teaching assistant. They hold both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Duke University and the National Technical University of Athens, respectively.
