Jayant Gupta

Jayant Gupta is currently a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, starting in August 2023, where research and development focus on deep learning-based spatio-temporal change detection. Prior to this role, Jayant completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, culminating in July 2023, with a thesis on responsible spatial data science. Experience also includes work as a Data Engineer at the Center for Data Science from July 2015 to January 2017, engaging in quantitative and qualitative analysis of distributed systems and classifications of malicious URLs, as well as the development of a geospatial library for real-time GPS monitoring. Additionally, an internship in Streaming Data Analytics at Bosch North America involved constructing a proof of concept for a large-scale analytics pipeline and creating a real-time dashboard. Jayant holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Systems from the University of Washington Tacoma, awarded in December 2015.
