Michael Lam

Michael Lam is a highly skilled member of the technical staff at Oracle since July 2025, with a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Prior experience includes roles as an AI/ML Research Engineer at aiXplain from May 2023 to July 2025 and as an AI/ML Research Advisor at Algoverse in mid-2024. Earlier, Michael served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, where research focused on utilizing deep learning to understand cancer environments. Additionally, Michael contributed significantly to education as part of the CS 170 course staff, providing support for complex algorithmic topics and facilitating homework content. Previous experience also includes a Machine Learning Engineer role at aiXplain, where an automated onboarding framework was developed, a CS Research Intern position at Berkeley Lab, and a CS Researcher role at the University of California, San Francisco, leading a team to model mutant neurons for epilepsy and autism treatments.
