Russell M. Meyer

Russell M. Meyer is the Chief Economist at Opower, a role in which they leverage behavioral science and econometric techniques to enhance utility energy efficiency programs. They previously served as a Senior Economist at Oracle and have extensive experience in market analysis and energy policy, having worked with organizations such as ICF and the Pew Center for Global Climate Change. Russell has held academic positions, including a lecturer at UC San Diego and teaching assistant roles at Georgetown and James Madison Universities. They are currently pursuing multiple advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
