Shaun Smith

Shaun Smith has extensive experience in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Starting as a Member of Technical Staff at MPR Teltech, Shaun contributed to the transition to object-oriented technology in a large R&D environment. As a Senior Architect at Sandbox Systems, Shaun introduced agile software development methods and led efforts to establish an Oracle technology partnership. Shaun then served as Chief Technical Consultant at ClearStream Consulting, where leadership transformed the company into a specialized consultancy for major Canadian industries. Currently, Shaun holds the position of Senior Director of Product Management at Oracle, overseeing GraalVM Enterprise Edition and the Oracle Functions platform, while also participating in the GraalVM Community Edition project. Shaun's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and graduate studies from The University of British Columbia, supplemented by a year abroad at the Institute for Foreign Affairs in Beijing.
