Tom Staaden is an experienced technology leader with over three decades in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Oracle since 2010, Tom leads a team of six in designing and implementing critical product features, including the object relational layer and web service architecture. Previous roles include Software Engineer at Amberpoint, Developer/Manager positions at Sun Microsystems, Forte Software, and Computer Associates, as well as an early career as a Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Tom holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from California State University, Chico, earned between 1981 and 1984.
