Viral Modi

Viral Modi is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and infrastructure delivery within the cloud computing sector. At Oracle from September 2019 to September 2023, Viral served as Director of Software Engineering for both the OCI Infrastructure Delivery Engineering Platform and the OCI Security, Assurance and Privacy Services, where significant contributions included accelerating infrastructure delivery and building a robust team to launch large-scale services. Prior experience at Qualcomm involved guiding a firmware team in the commercialization of mobile Wi-Fi chipsets. Additionally, early roles as a Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo and an Intern at Lightline Networks provided foundational skills in wireless technologies and kernel programming. Viral holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
