Zachary Smith is a Principal Member of Technical Staff with a focus on the performance of large cloud-based workloads for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) customers, specializing in Big Data, AI, and HPC. Previously, Zachary served as a Lead Technical Architect at American Express, where they led the architecture of the Big Data Ecosystem and implemented several clusters for the organization. With experience as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and now a Principal Cloud Architect at Oracle, Zachary emphasizes enabling large-scale customer adoption and workload performance. They also contributed to the maturation of the Big Data Platform at Wells Fargo and held various roles at Informatics Corporation of America. Zachary is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Tulane University.
