Ryan O'Malley

Engineer at Orange EV

Ryan O'Malley has held various roles in the engineering field since 2006. From 2006-2007, they were an intern at Haynes Equipment Company. Ryan then moved to The Larkin Group, where they held an internship from 2007-2010. In 2010, they began their role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Kansas, where they assisted lectures, ran laboratories, graded and created assignments, and met with students. Ryan also held a role in the Student Housing Maintenance Carpentry Department. In 2013, they began working at Orange EV as an Engineer, where they designed, prototyped, machined, and wired components for converting diesel terminal trucks into electric vehicles. Ryan also created wiring schematics, harness build drawings, 3D Inventor models, vehicle systems, battery designs, circuit protection, and dash constructions.

Ryan O'Malley attended The University of Kansas from 2008 to 2014, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering. Ryan also attended the University of Wollongong in 2010, also studying Mechanical Engineering.
