Shaamel has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 2000. Shaamel started their career at Emerio Corpn (Cyberstudy) as a Senior Faculty. In 2007, they joined Genovate Solutions as a Regional Sales Manager and an Account Manager (SAP Training). Shaamel also worked at Lithan Genovate (subsidiary of Lithan Hall) as a Regional Sales Manager. In 2010, they moved to Peak Pacific Limited as a Regional Sales Manager. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at Pravam Pte Ltd as Director of Sales and Marketing, and at Lithan as Manager, Business Development (Direct Sales). During the same period, they were also working as a Sales Consultancy and Business Development Advisor at their Independent Consultancy. In 2017, Shaamel joined MSC Consulting as a Sales Director and Orangekloud Inc. as Vice President (North America and Europe).

Shaamel attended Bharathiar University from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a B.Sc in Computer Science.
