Michael Redpath

Michael Redpath is currently an electronics engineer at ORB Innovations, where they have been since September 2019. Prior to that, they were at Tended from May 2020 to September 2020, where they worked as an embedded engineer.

At Tended, Michael worked on the system design of an industrial personal safety wearable. Michael selected hardware and wrote code using C++, and gained experience using the ARM Mbed development platform. Michael also learned about advanced global positioning technologies and some of the safety challenges on UK's National Rail network.

At ORB Innovations, Michael is the primary engineer for the world's most cutting edge smart mouthguard. Michael is responsible for the electronic system design and risk management, advanced PCB design, writing C based firmware on ARM M4 processors, and implementing and adapting intelligent data science algorithms on low-level systems. Michael also oversees in-house assembly and testing, as well as Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Compliance (EMC).

Michael Redpath has a Bachelor of Engineering from The University of Queensland in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Michael also went to high school at Iona College.

Their manager is Thomas Quinn, CTO & Co-Founder. Michael Redpath works with and Daniel Costa Silva - Data Scientist.
