Chris Foley

Chris Foley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Chris began their career as the Head of Computer Operations for the New Jersey Devils NHL team before starting their own company, Sports Applications Inc., where they developed and sold database applications to NHL clubs. Chris then founded MicroSERVE Inc., an IT consulting and integration services firm.

Chris later joined Sterling Commerce/XcelleNet, where they served as a Systems Architect and a Product Line Manager, managing product lifecycles and authoring marketing collateral. Chris also worked for XcelleNet, where they held roles such as Sr. Technical Product Manager and Director of Mobile Business Solutions.

At Sybase, Chris worked as the Director of Worldwide RFID Solutions and the Director of RFID Partner Development, responsible for partner recruitment and managing worldwide field activities. Chris then started their own consultancy firm, Foley Consultancy LLC, providing business process and technology consulting services to various clients.

Chris joined ORBCOMM as the Senior Director of Client Services & Product Alignment, and they are currently the Senior Director of Software Engineering for the Orbcomm Solutions & Integrations team. Additionally, they have experience in public service as the Vice Chair/Chair of the Roswell Planning Commission for the City of Roswell, Georgia.

Chris Foley obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs from The University of Georgia, which they attended from 1977 to 2014. Chris also completed the Microsoft Certified Training program from 1997 to 1998, where they received certifications for MCSE and MCP+I, specializing in TCP/IP Networking and Windows NT. Prior to attending The University of Georgia, Chris studied Political Science at Emory University from 1975 to 1977, although they did not receive a degree in this field.
