Clay Sanders has extensive experience in legal and corporate roles throughout their career. Clay served as Vice President - Legal at ORBCOMM, where they provided lead counsel for commercial contracting, intellectual property, international strategic relationships, and telematics operations. Clay also supported M&A and general corporate matters. Prior to that, Clay was the General Counsel - Asset Intelligence/IT Solutions at GE Capital, where they served as the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for an information technology infrastructure products and services provider. Clay also worked as Of Counsel/Practice Group Leader at Frost Brown Todd LLC, leading the Healthcare Practice Group and developing practice in information technology products and services. Clay's experience also includes serving as the General Counsel at West Tennessee Healthcare, where they established the legal department and implemented a compliance program. Clay began their legal career as a Partner at Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC, focusing on general corporate, business, estate planning, and tax matters. Clay started their professional journey in the US Navy, serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the JAGC.

Clay Sanders has a solid educational background, primarily focused on law and related disciplines. Clay first attended William & Mary from 1974 to 1977, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Anthropology & Psychology. Following this, Clay pursued their Juris Doctor (JD) degree at William & Mary Law School, completing it from 1977 to 1980. Later, in 1986, they enrolled at Georgetown University Law Center for a Master of Laws in Taxation (MLT), which they completed in 1987, specializing in Tax Law.
