Karen Preiss

Karen Preiss has extensive experience in finance and operations management, currently serving as the Global Lead: People and Programme Manager at Orbis Investments since November 2015. Prior to this role, Karen was the Domain Owner for Institutional Operations and IT at Allan Gray Proprietary Limited from February 2008 to October 2015, contributing to the largest privately owned investment company in Africa. Previous roles include Finance Manager at Woolworths, where various positions encompassed Supply Chain Financial Manager and Business Analyst, as well as UK Equities Accounting at UBS and Auditor at Arthur Andersen. Karen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Honours) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, both from the University of Cape Town.
