Eric Ryberg has a diverse work experience in program management and operations. Eric started their career in 2007 as the Principal Assistant Program Manager for CVN 78 at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). Eric then served as the Director for CVN, LHA, and LHD at ASN (RD&A) / DASN Ships from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2019, they held positions as the Deputy Program Manager for the DDG 1000 Class Destroyer Program Office and the CVN 79/80 Program Office at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). In 2019, they joined Defense Acquisition University as a Professor of Program Management. Eric is currently working at Orbis Inc as the Operations Director since February 2022, and prior to that, they were the Senior Program Manager from August 2021 to February 2022.

Eric Ryberg completed their Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the years 1982 to 1986. Eric later pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution from 1986 to 1987.

In 1990, Eric Ryberg enrolled at the Florida Institute of Technology and completed a Master's degree in Engineering Management, which lasted from 1990 to 1993.

Eric attended the United States Naval Test Pilot School in 1992, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree from this institution.

Eric Ryberg also completed two courses at the Defense Acquisition University. In 2008, they took the Program Manager's Course (PMT 401) and in 2013, they completed the Executive Program Management (PMT 402).

Additionally, Eric Ryberg obtained a certification in Business Analytics from Kellogg Executive Education in June 2022.
