Jim E.

Jim E. has a diverse work experience in the intelligence and national security field. Jim started their career in 1998 as an Analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and went on to hold various leadership positions within the agency. Jim served as a Briefer, Deputy Bureau Chief, Director for Analytic Integrity and Advancement, Bureau Chief, Division Chief, and Deputy Group Chief. In these roles, they were responsible for shaping the direction of open source intelligence (OSINT) collection and production, leading programs related to counterterrorism, counterproliferation, and cyber, managing a geographically dispersed workforce, overseeing operations and budgets, and developing employees.

After leaving the CIA, Jim joined the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as a Senior Executive Assistant to the Director of National Intelligence. Jim then moved to Central, where they served as the CIA Director's Deputy Representative to the National Security Agency (NSA) and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

Jim later joined the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy as the Director, Central Intelligence Agency Faculty Representative, and Assistant Professor. In this role, they represented the CIA within the school and taught national security courses.

Most recently, Jim has been working at Orbis Operations, LLC. Jim initially served as an Analytic Advisor before being promoted to the role of Vice President for Open Source Intelligence Programs. Currently, they are leading programs related to open source intelligence and overseeing their implementation.
