Kyle Germscheid

Kyle Germscheid is an experienced engineering professional specializing in protection and control systems for high voltage utility substations. Currently serving as an Engineering Supervisor and Senior P&C Engineer I at Orbital Engineering, Inc. since August 2023, Kyle has held various roles such as Protection and Control Engineer at Systems Control and Electrical Engineer Specialist at Black & Veatch. Responsibilities throughout Kyle's career have included the detailed design and project management of substation equipment and systems, developing protection relay diagrams, and conducting equipment specifications. Prior experience includes positions at POWER Engineers, L-3, and Dominion Virginia Power, where Kyle gained hands-on experience in system protection and relay commissioning work. Kyle holds a degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State University.
