Ross Doherty

Ross Doherty is an experienced aerospace and mechanical engineering professional, currently serving as Co-Founder and COO at Orbital Operations since December 2024. Prior to this role, Ross held key positions at Relativity Space, where responsibilities included Lead and Senior Turbomachinery Manufacturing Engineer from May 2021 to June 2025, and at BLUE ORIGIN as a Turbomachinery Manufacturing Engineer from July 2019 to June 2021. Ross's career began as a Manufacturing Engineer at Aerojet Rocketdyne (October 2015 - July 2019) and included roles as a Forge Process Engineer at SIFCO Industries, Inc. and positions in retail and assembly early on. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Ross has developed expertise in manufacturing processes, quality control, project initiatives, and problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma.
