Ross Doherty

Ross Doherty is a highly experienced aerospace engineer and executive, currently serving as Co-Founder and COO of Orbital Operations since December 2024. Prior to this role, Ross held significant positions at Relativity Space, including Lead and Senior Turbomachinery Manufacturing Engineer from May 2021 to June 2025, and previously worked as a Turbomachinery Manufacturing Engineer at Blue Origin from July 2019 to June 2021. Ross's earlier experience includes a Manufacturing Engineer role at Aerojet Rocketdyne and a Forge Process Engineer position at SIFCO Industries, Inc., where quality control processes and die failure analysis were key responsibilities. Ross holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and attended the United States Naval Academy.
