Larry West

Larry West has extensive experience in the fields of travel leadership, writing, and environmental education. Currently serving as a Travel Leader and Guide at Orbridge since May 2018, Larry excels in overall tour leadership, logistics, and cultural and natural history narration. As a Tour Leader and Lecturer with Road Scholar since September 2015, Larry has guided programs in diverse regions, including Alaska and western Canada, and has contributed to program development and itinerary writing. Larry's freelance career began in 1982, specializing in various subject areas including arts, sciences, and outdoor recreation. Previous roles include Naturalist with The Boat Company, Expedition Leader with Alaskan Dream Cruises, and Interim Executive Director of Discovery Southeast. Larry holds advanced degrees from Andrews University and has completed doctoral studies at the University of Chicago, complementing a foundational education in Music and Religion from Walla Walla University.
