Idan Atar

Idan Atar has worked in the technology industry since 2014. Idan began their career as an Index Student at Cortica, where they were responsible for data scraping using XML, setting up and expanding a MySQL database, and data mining and analyzing using MS Excel and the company's tools. In 2015, they joined Cyren as a Software Engineer in the Utilities team, where they developed software for Cyren's detection teams, and worked on a distributed system of Python Microservices running as Docker containers on Kubernetes. Idan also worked as a Security Analyst, analyzing Phishing & Fraud related data using SQL database, MS Excel and Elastic Search, developing new logic and methods, and creating rules for increasing detection and decreasing false positives rate, using Regular Expressions. In 2021, they joined Sparks AB as a Python Developer, where they were responsible for building the infrastructure for the company's analysts & Data Scientists, designing, implementing and owning end-to-end new features and systems, and working closely with AWS services and APIs (EC2, Lambda serverless, boto3 etc.). Idan is currently working as a Software Engineer at Orbs, beginning in 2022.

Idan Atar obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 2011 and 2016.
