Our Objectives

1. To provide information about the key coastal marine environmental issues in the interersts of conservation.

2. To promote and support conservation (protection and rehabilitation) of bio-diversity and responsible socio-economic development in the Bitou region.

3. To raise public awareness and educate Bitou communities about the importance of biodiversity.

4. To establish collaborative partnerships with other conservation organisations and between the State, the private sector and our local communities.

5. To mobilise financial and human resourses to achieve our vision, mission and objectives.

Description

A conservation model in Plettenberg Bay, embraced by the community, that ensures the sustained utilisation of Marine and Coastal Resources through improved management, research and education. To facilitate in the implementation of a model of 'Best Practices' for the management of the bay and to change community consciousness relating to environment issues to achieve intelligent co-existence in Plettenberg Bay.
