Dylan Owens is an experienced engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering, holding both a Bachelor of Science from Caltech and a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently serving as an Engineer at Orca Sciences since November 2023, Dylan previously worked as a Hardware Engineer at Verily (Google Life Sciences) and held mechanical engineering positions at Nixie Labs and Hadal. Notably, Dylan co-founded Saildrone, serving as CTO and focused on autonomous sailing vessel mechanisms, electronics, and software, and contributed to the MIT AUV Lab as a Staff Researcher.
