Rye Bennett

Rye Bennett has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.

Starting in 2010, Rye worked as an Architectural Intern at The Haskell Company, where they gained experience in design and construction documents for large commercial projects. They also trained staff on best practices in Revit.

In 2011, Rye took on the role of an Urban Design Intern at the Tulane Regional Urban Design Center. During this time, they focused on urban design projects.

From 2011 to 2012, Rye worked as a Lab Technician at the Tulane School of Architecture.

From 2012 to 2016, Rye worked as a Freelance Branding and Graphic Designer. They provided branding and graphic design services to clients.

In 2013, Rye joined Dinner Lab INC as the Director of Design. In this role, they were responsible for creating and managing all aspects of company design, including digital, print products, and branding. Rye also played a role in developing investor decks for successful funding rounds.

In 2016, Rye joined Skillshare as a Senior Product Designer. They were responsible for designing and iterating on new and existing native and web features. They also played a critical role in establishing the product design process, defining tasks and timelines, and maintaining cross-team collaboration.

In 2017, Rye transitioned to Meetup, where they served as a Product Design Lead and later as the Product Design Director. They contributed to product strategy and played a key role in design leadership and management.

Since 2020, Rye has been working at Orchard. They initially served as the Head of Product Design and currently hold the position of Head of Design & Growth Product. They also briefly took on the role of Head of Product (Interim) in 2023.

Throughout their career, Rye has showcased their skills in design, strategy development, project management, and team collaboration.
