Nicolas Kardous has a diverse work experience starting in 2016 as an intern at SEMATCO, where they gained experience in soil and engineering material testing. In 2017, they worked as a Summer Analyst at CastleHill Partners, where they conducted comprehensive valuation and diligence assessments for consumer goods companies and participated in management meetings.
In 2020, Nicolas worked as a Quantitative Research Intern at Global Key Advisors, where they applied autoregressive and dynamic panel models to study investor confidence and returns. Nicolas also worked as a Summer Researcher at CIRCLES - FLOW, where they published a paper on a traffic model and its mean-field limit for dissipation of waves through autonomous vehicles.
Most recently, Nicolas worked as an Intern at Auriga Corporation, gaining valuable experience in an internship role. Nicolas is currently employed as a Business Analyst at Orchestrade Financial Systems.
Nicolas Kardous began their education journey in 2010 at the International School of Beijing, where they pursued the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Following that, from 2015 to 2019, they attended Duke University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E) degree. Nicolas majored in Environmental Engineering and also pursued a minor in Energy Engineering and Economics. Later on, in 2019, they enrolled at UC Berkeley College of Engineering and completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in the Fintech Program within the Industrial Engineering & Operations Research Department. Nicolas was also the recipient of the Fung Scholarship during this period.
