Oregon Tilth
Chris Elder is a Senior Inspector at Oregon Tilth, where responsibilities include organic inspection of crops, processors, and livestock, as well as mentoring new inspectors, since January 2021. Chris's extensive background includes a long tenure with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services from October 1990 to May 2019, where Chris managed the Gypsy Moth Program and served as a Plant Pest Specialist, focusing on pest exclusion and plant material movement. Chris holds a B.S. in Integrated Pest Management from North Carolina State University, earned between 1984 and 1989.
